Lower Green Kitchen Extension

THE BRIEF

This beautiful and characterful Grade II listed property built in the late 1700s was in need of a larger kitchen and family living space. An old extension needed to be knocked down and a new one built, ensuring that the brickwork, roof tiles, joinery and leadwork matched up with the original part of the house and that they complied with the listed building conditions imposed by the Local Authority.

HOW WE HELPED

We met with the property owners who were quite daunted by the extent of the project, especially in terms of meeting the Local Authority requirements for a Grade II listed building. We took the time to understand what they wanted from the redevelopment of their house and planned every detail with them.

By providing a one-stop shop, from surveying, build, joinery, kitchen design, electrics and installation, we were able to provide one point of contact working to a clear programme of works and as a result the family now have a new kitchen that better suits the needs of their family and 21st century living.
